Default Heavy rain hits San Pedro del Pinitar and surrounding

Thankfully we're not flooded but 5 minutes cycle away (see third picture) Coast registers rains of up to 117 litres per square metre. | News | Simply Networking and also further up in San Javier and El Mojon (see first, second and fourth pictures).

Or http://www.laverdad.es/murcia/201111...111181935.html está muy cerca de mi casa.

I would imagine the cost of damage caused by these floods will run into millions of euros. To fix this, the government in Spain need to invest in upgrading their storm drains across the country. Even in good times they turned a blind eye, I'm guessing given the current climate nothing will change........there will be a massive clean-up and then until the next time

There are storm drains ? the way they never seem to actually finish things off, especially roads and the way some are built there seems to be no bottoming never mind drainage.

Yes......and exactly. It's such a shame because it brings yet more bad publicity to Spain.

Spain as a whole needs to start thinking outside Spain. As you say all these things add to grist to the mill of the down on Spain brigade.

No thankfully it's all drained away, at least near where we are but it was a bit too close for comfort. Thankfully we're on slightly higher ground but a few more days of heavy rain and it could have been our house.

    Spanish Property 2012

Normally we have around 320 days of sunshine.....only problem is when it does rain, it can come down in torrents. For now, Mr Sun is back.
