Default San Javier airport to revert back to a military airport when Corvera opens

    Hi Folks

The latest line appears to be that San Javier airport will revert back to being a military airport when Corvera opens. Dates have yet to be specified but decisions will have to be published shortly.......

I wonder how it will impact flights booked for the latter part of 2012

I just read that all flights that where booked to go to San Javier AUTOMATICALLY get diverted to Corvera. There wont' be any cancellations etc.
The positive side to Corvera it will be an International airport. So hopefully more direct flights to places, rather than having to fly to madrid or Barcelona first.

Yes, the international status will be a definite advantage for those arriving on long haul flights and it'll be very necessary when Paramount opens.
