Thread: Is Altea a good place to live?

Hi everyone, I see the forums are quite new so I will get something started over here... Hehehe... I am currently living in the UK but planning a move for late November... My wife and I have been up and down Spain (mainly the Costa Blanca) and the place that we have found most satisfying appears to be Altea. We are not the youngest anymore, but neither the oldest so Benidorm doesn't really suit... Anyone out there have some insights?

Hi, yes this forum is new and the network of websites behind is also new and in progress. I live in Altea. Altea has become a very international quality resort. The pros are obvious: the promenade is wonderful, has plenty of restaurants and shops. Countless people stroll up and down, and many even walk every week from Altea to Albir or along the beach L’Olla: good for health! The town itself has plenty of excellent shops. Supermarkets are everywhere. Albir has become a very lively commercial place. Some areas are full of British residents. International health services are everywhere: doctors, dentists, and clinics. Best areas to live in Altea are between Cap Negret and Urb.Galera. Altea Hills (Altea la Vella) is one of the best resident areas on the Costa Blanca.
