While the British market fell by between 15 and 20% in recent seasons, bookings for this summer to the Costa Blanca have increased by 20%. This may in part be due to the problems in North Africa, but as Portugal and Spain were shown in the UK press to be the cheapest holiday destinations in Europe, this may also have helped. All that is needed now is for the pound to improve against the Euro
