Welcome Elliott!
I'm sure some of our members will be able to help you. Just research carefully... You wouldn't want your money to end up going down the drown: Spain to shut down 3,000 illegal radio stations | Spanish News BTW: What business are you in?

Talk Radio Europe covers the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca I believe. They have a website if you google TRE.Spectrum covers just the Costa del Sol I think. If you google radio stations covering the Spanish.Costas it should give you the list. Good Luck !

Hi Elliott,
Very few of the Costa stations have total coverage plus some of them may not be around in the second half of 2010 due to the new State Radio Commission. Saying that, on the Costa Calida, the strongest stations are possibly: Talk Radio Europe (REM) Spectrum Bay Radio Costa Blanca South TKO Sunshine Bay Radio Exite Tower FM Costa Blanca North Bay Radio Coast Cool FM Fab FM You can find out more about radio on the Costa Blanca on costablancatv.com in their radio section. There are other stations, and new ones that have recently arrived on the scene, and others that have just closed down, so it's changing all of the time. None of the 'Pirates' (the commission's words, not mine) shall be closing their doors within the next couple of months, so I think it's safe to get your advertising on them now. Talk Radio Europe can be heard along the coast but the signal strength into Torrevieja and Costa Blanca South is very poor, and not much better in lots of areas of Costa Blanca North, due to the terrain. Bay Radio have just started broadcasting on the Costa Blanca South but are not well known compared to the established stations and because none of their content is relevant to the area (guests, info, etc), they have yet to get much of a following. Apart from the stations and how far their signal reaches, you advertising euro needs to be well spent, especially when it comes to broadcasting to the right age demographics for your product or service. Start asking for their media packs, special deals and see where you get. Show sponsorship is possibly a better way to get real value for money, so consider this too, rather than just purchasing 'slots'. It's sometimes easier to promote and market your product in other media by saying you "sponsor the breakfast show on abc radio" rather than just advertising on 'abc radio'. Just a warning! Spanish Government wants all these stations closed down,as most not all are illegal see this weeks Round Town News , page 13 for the story. Just beware you dont pay your advertising money for a month and they are closed after a week.
Just google round town news. |
