I recommend Vida's coffee shop in the Flamenca Beach CC, fab selection of coffees and sandwiches made when you order them.

L'Alqueria Restaurant, in strangely enough, L'Alqueria does a great menu del dia. very good food and fast service. The place is easy to miss (the whole village is easy to miss) as it is not well advertised. The interior is well decorated and the services are spotless. Juan Pablo Peirdo, who is the owner, is very friendly and popular with his customers.

We have just returned from another very enjoyable trip to our house in Playa Flamenca. We went along to the Flamenca Beach centre and had lunch and the best 'cuppa' in the area at the Cornish Pride pasty shop. Located on the cetre level and only open during the day, you will receive a warm welcome from owners Sally and Mike as well as a good value meal. Not the most Spanish of lunches but certainly good and worth a return visit.

We went for a good and cheap meal at Restaurante Copacabana in the Flamenca Beach commercial centre. Tucked away at the back on the middle floor, you can get a 2 course menu del dia for just 7.95. The food was good, the service friendly, the surroundings very pleasant and the chairs comfortable! Their menu is generally well priced and the portrions a good size. There are 2 menu del dias, one 7.95 and one that I think was around 12 euros (but I´m not 100% on that!).

The test of good service is when you order cheap but are treated the same as those spending more, and we were made very welcome. So they get our recommendation!

Agreed. It should not matter if you spend ten euros or 100 euros. If the service is good, you might be back with friends and spend a whole lot more.

Default update on Disha's indian restaurant

As of last Friday Disha has installed free wifi for his customers. Later he also intend to have a computer set up for customers wishing to use the internet, but have no computer. (e.g. tourists that do not have a laptop with them)

My favourite Chinese in Torrevieja, is the Gran China in La Siesta.. When you enter they give you a glass of sangria.. If you pick the menu del dia the starter is either a soup, salad or spring roll. There are many choices of main course. I normally choose the hot beef with rice, noodles or chips. Half a bottle of red wine, then a desert of ice cream, flan or coffee. On paying the bill of 5.95e you have a choice of a brandy, baileys or schnapps..very clean excellent service and always busy.

I have tried the woks where you can eat as much as you want for about 8 euros, but have to pay extra for drinks, and this works out much more expensive. The normal is sufficient for me.

IKU Sushi , Arenal , Javea

      - A "Proper" Sushi Restuarant as opposed to an Oriental Restaurant with a nod towards providing limp and unappetising sushi as an afterthought. As such any faint hearted "wannabe" Sushi eaters may be intimidated.
The restaurant was decorated in a minimalist Japanese style with great views over the Arenal beach. The menu, whilst not being extensive, covered all bases and allowed the chef to take full advantage of the best seasonal produce that was available at the market that day. And they did - we opted for the Bento Box - a kind of chef's choice ( making allowances for our likes and dislikes ) which provided plenty - both in terms of variety and quantity.
Allow 60 Euros for 3 courses, Wine and Coffee for 2, they even provide a child friendly menu for kids, we'll be back.
