    Hi Sirkan,
I just wanted to check the links you sent but it appears there is an error in the URL.. An extra http:// seems to be the problem... You might want to edit that.
You know you can also upload photos of where you live to a user album
Let me know if you need help doing it.

The Link is bankrupt, is necessary to clear " http://" initial, that exceeds, and the connection will work.

Ok, thanks for the adjustment. There I put another connection to you with the corners of my earth, and to animate all they know that it personally. Here the stay of British population is habitual for enough time, as much in tourism because they work and they reside here. And although it is bridge of many cultures, the Briton is of which more wall-plate has in these earth.

    Default Canary Islands

    Hi
We have an apartment on a complex in Lanzarote & really love it there. Never been to Gran Canaria, but have been to Tenerife.

Default El Hierro, the best kept secret.

I live on the smallest and least known of the larger Islands. El Hierro, the most westerly and most southerly part of Spain. Ten thousand people inhabit the island, there are few English only three.

In general the people here do not steal other peoples property and the noisy youths on the street are very polite. Complete strangers greet you with a Good Day or Good night and if you meet a friend expect a big hug.

We do have tourists, many Canarians from the other Islands, a lot of people from the peninsular mainly Spanish. In the Winter arrive the Irish for walking and Scuba diving holidays. Sometimes English people arrive, some come every year, but they are few and not really catered for here.We do not have Roast Beef Yorkshire Pudding Bars here, Full English Breakfast sorry not here. Garbanzas, Pulpo, Papas Arrugadas con salsa mojo, Peto, Viejas, Gallo, yes all of these and much more.

Beaches are few and not very good, but there are sheltered charcos and the swimming is good. The views on the island are second to none, you can walk for miles and not see a soul. The countryside varies from the arid lava flows of the south, to the pine and bresal forests of the interior, then the plateau around the village of San Andrés with its dry stone walled meadows could be mistaken for the West Riding of Yorkshire. Finally the valley of El Golfo with its almost Latin American look and fields of pineapples is a must.

But beware, to some the peace and tranquillity of El Hierro can be infectious, once visited you may return..............................

La naturaleza es impressionante! Muchas gracias por la inspiración.
Is there also a possibility to learn spanish while discovering the islands?

There is only the possibility to learn spanish at school and discover the isles during the spare time. Probably the best language-school is Don Quijote at Puerto de la Cruz (Teneriffa). The auditorium was built by Santiago Calatrava. A variety of open-air-sports is offered after class.
