Thread: Summer 2009 Barcelona work

Im 18 and from london.I hope to this summer work in Barcelona and I really need help in finding a job.I can speak OK spanish but I hope to improve it before I come back to london to do my degree.
Where would be the best places to work?Can anyone suggest anywhere in particular?

What sort of work / job are you looking at finding?

Im not really that fussy just any job which will raise my level in spanish.The work would be preferbely be in central Barcelona but working in either Sitges or Vilanova i la Geltrú would be fantastic!

Then the easiest job you will find will probably be working in PR for bars and clubs.

They pay by person you bring to parties. Hundreds of people do this every summer!

But beware it is a jungle and even though some make a nice amount of money with this type of work, others fail miserably.

If you want to also earn money as a promoter you will need to be very social, outgoing and highly motivated.

Bar work tends to be somewhat more demanding in terms of language skills and experience.

For that type of work I suggest going to Barcelona Nightlife. VIP Guestlists. Clubs, bars, pubs, discos, going out in Barcelona! sign up and contact the existing promoters.
