I realise that there are not too many carpets there, but that would probably mean that there are not too many carpet cleaners. we also provide tile and grout cleaning and sealing,Natural stone floor cleaning, rug cleaning, curtain cleaning so maybe these services would interest some people there. If you take a look at our site it will give you an idea of the services we offer and your honest opinions would be greatly valued. [Please re read the guidelines thank you] What I would like to know is 1. Do you think we could earn a living in Barcelona? 2. Would you use our service? 3. If not Barcalona, which part of Spain would you recommend? 4. How would you market a business like this in Spain, eg, Which publications would you advertise in, how would you get the message across to the expats and the Spanish? Thanks Phil Last edited by Val; 26-05-2009 at 16:52. Reason: remove url |

you can get the spray on foaming carpet cleaner, wait until it dries and vacuum afterwords.

I guess the Queen Vic is not enough of a hold for you to stay in UK.
Personally, I think you are wasting your time in most of Spain, carpets are just not the thing especially where it is warm/hot for a large part of the year. We have tiles with small mats where needed (beside bed/bathroom, etc.) and these just go in the washing machine. Sorry can't be more help. |

Hi there
I agree with Baldilocks. I live in Barcelona and hardly anyone has carpets - we just have tiles or parquet. I used to have Persian rugs in the winter but got rid of them because despite regular cleaning, I became allergic to something in them. Sorry to disappoint you but I don't see a market for you here. Best regards Valerie |

Hola Phil, Stay positive. Three piece suites are a big earner, they are rotten dirty here full of suntan lotions and sweaty bodies. There is a lot of work around the marinas, most boats have carpets and suites to clean.Get a couple of large posh boats a year. If you have a steam cleaner even better for boats as well. Car valeting interior exterior etc. Floorpolishing. etc etc etc. To advertise I would first get all the local english publications then the local spanish publications, leaflet drops, etc etc . Here in my area Torrevieja radio advertising works well.
A young lad near us has set up a window cleaning round and now has work 6 days a week every week. There is work out there for people who are prepared to work. |
